Compact and Lightweight
Mission’s 4.5 kW liquid-cooled onboard charger weighs only 3 kg and features a peak efficiency of 95%, making it one of the most power-dense onboard charger solutions available. This performance is enabled by Mission’s unique power electronics topology and highly effective liquid-cooling system.
To further reduce weight and system cost, Mission’s on-board charger can be integrated with Mission’s motor control unit. By sharing a liquid-cooling system, the charger adds only 2 kg to the weight of the motor control unit.
Optimized Charging Integration
Mission’s on-board charger can accept input voltages ranging from 80 to 270 V AC and frequencies from 45-70 Hz. The charger works with SAE Type 1 home charging and SAE Type 2 J1772 public charging.
Automotive Safety and Integrity
Our on-board charger is designed with redundant cut-offs to ensure battery, vehicle, and user safety at all times while charging. The unit is fully isolated and has internal protection from over/under temp, over/under voltage, over current, reverse polarity, short circuit, and open circuit.
The on-board charger is designed and tested in our state-of-the-art electronics laboratory. It is designed for compliance with ISO, SAE, UL, IEC, ECE, and FCC standards. Mission’s charger technology has been validated in our vehicle programs.
